Weekly email archives and occasional extra words that don't have a home anywhere else on my site.
Rachel’s weekly email is one of the few I open religiously. I know there’s always going to be a pearlescent hunk o’ wisdom in there for me. She’s also one of the only person who can use phrases like “heart-centered” and not get the side-eye from me. Because I know she leans into it with every fiber of her being.
So go on, hang on her every word — just like I do. (You can also connect with her on LinkedIn!)
I worked for a while with an ayurvedic coach I LOVED.
I never chose to stop seeing her. We just never scheduled another appointment…and that was that. If I’d had something on the calendar, she’d still be getting my business.
Meanwhile, my house cleaner? She shows up every other week, and we only text about it if there’s an exception. I’m wonderfully steady business for her.
And my dentist’s office? Those folks won’t let me leave without having my next cleaning on the calendar… even if it’s six months away.
The simple, life-changing rule I’m pointing to here: Always Be Scheduled.
Don’t let a client or prospect (or friend!) wander off without knowing when you’re going to talk to them next!
🗓️ It could be a 15-minute check-in call in 90 days.
🗓️ It could be a meeting two days from now to review a proposal (live).
🗓️ It could be your next coaching appointment.
🗓️ It could be a coffee date in two months.
It doesn’t matter what the next meeting is. It matters that it exists.
Being scheduled lets you keep the momentum and the relationship alive…
And keeping the relationship alive is the best way to keep doing business together.
